I Wedding Gown Cross Dresser
My name is Gayle and I'm a life-long crossdresser. I remember my first experience with buying a wedding gown. It was the week my now ex-wife left me. I always wanted a wedding gown because nothing expresses femiminity and beauty like a wedding gown.
I decided then to find a wedding gown for myself and promptly called a small privately owned shop that I had occasionally drove by. I forget the name now but they are no longer in business. I remember I was extremely nervous when I called to enquire of their policy about doing business with transvestites. The owner answered me in the affirmative and said I would be welcome to make an appointment. I made one for that very evening.
Although I only had an hour or two of work left that day I remember that I could not keep my mind on my job. Finally, I was finished and hauled *** to the dress shop. I was so nervous I must have been stammering and blushing when I explained what I wanted. The owner immediately started to put me at ease and said I was not the first crossdresser to do business with them. I felt better and she inquired into what style gown I was looking for.
I wanted a traditional A-line gown with a Victorian collar and long sleeves. She correctly judged my size as an 18 as these types of dresses are sometimes sized smaller than less formal dresses. She pulled several gowns off the rack along with the appropriate bridal crinoline slip and I proceded to try each one on. Since all of them had a button-up back closure she had to do up the buttons. I do not remember ever being so excited as I finally slipped into a wedding gown for the first time in my life.
I settled on a very beautiful gown in the style I desired and the owner started appraising the dress for alterations. She suggested a bustle for the train because it was almost a catheral length. She also suggested loops that I could use to hold the dress off the floor when I walked. I agreed and put a deposit down.
The next day I returned with the balance due and completed the purchase. I made an appointment for later in the week to be properly fitted with the shoes I intended to wear, bra, and breast forms to accurately fit the dress. Yes, there were several fittings that needed to be done before I was "allowed" to take my gown home. I also had her replace the myriad of buttons on the back with a zipper to facilitate my dressing in it by myself.
It was three weeks from purchasing the gown to bringing it home. It was beautiful and I never felt so femme and turned on while wearing it.
But alas, my Ex decided to return home and I had a real issue hiding it from her. I kept it in a large box in my company van. Still, she could have found it. I decided to put the whole $800.00+ purchase in a Goodwill box. I just hope whomever bought it from Goodwill felt as I did when I wore that gown.
I always wanted another but, that's another story.
Blessed Be! Gayle
