And Turned Away

It was because of Catholic school that I ended up turning away from the church. I started in the 5th grade. I was regularly going to church and believed. While in school I had to learn various stories, prayers and rituals. When I started studying for confirmation I started asking real questions. During that time I was told that the devil was leading me astray. Not long after I decided that religion wasn't for me.

That is a real shame, many bad things have been done in the name of religion, unfortunately. I worked for nuns as a nursing auxiliary in a nursing home once and believe me, they were not easy to work for! Not all were dragons though, some were very kind

*giggling* Funny enough now I don't believe in hell... or heaven!

To paraphrase a Mark Twain comment - go to heaven for the climate, go to hell for the company. Hopefully we'l meet there - Mark

I remember one day the nun got angry at me and told me I was going to hell... I said It seems like it will be more fun because there are many more people there! She was NOT PLEASED! *giggles*

wow i went to catholic school also the uniforms the nuns and i had some pretty ill nuns if you know what i mean
