Best Concerts of My Life...

I've been to quite a few concerts (even worked a few), but to date, there are at least 6 that still conjure memories in my mind:

1) Ministry, Sepultura, and Helmet; Del Mar Fairgrounds (San Diego Co., CA) Fall, 1992 - They played in a barn, need I say more?

2) The Ramones and House of Pain - The Palladium, Hollywood CA 1991? - Still a bit fuzzy, it was that young HS drinking binge I was on, the key here is that the Ramones found HoP cool enough to tour with, even though most of the concert-goers didn't.

3) The Violent Femmes - The Palladium, Hollywood, CA 1993. Fer chrissakes, it was The Violent Femmes!

4) The "original" Lollapallooza concert, Irvine Meadows Amphitheater, Irvine, CA 1991. This was/is one of the best concerts I ever went to.

5) Lollapallooza 1992, Irvine Meadows Amphitheater, Irvine, CA - Ministry stole the show out from under the Red Hot Chili-peppers, and they were none too happy about it.

6) Peter Gabriel's "Secret World" tour (In support of the "US" album) America West Arena, Phoenix, AZ 1992 - It's a shame he doesn't do stadium tours anymore, this was less like a concert and more like an "experience". The concept of dual stages (Earth and Water), the "monkey" cam ( A visual assault by which PG could conquer his anxiety issues. And a young Paula Cole as a backup singer.

I've seen many more concerts some of the better ones being PiL, Fugazi, The Damned, but those six left the biggest impression.

Just my two cents worth,

Well, I wasn't a big fan of "Filth Pig" and I started being responsible after that, so I didn't get a chance to see again.

Did you get a chance to see Ministry after that like Animositomina? I saw them in 92 as well as a few years ago on the FornicaTour. They seemed far tighter and more aggressive, I guess getting clean will do that.
