Wedding On The Beach
My wedding took place beacfront at Myrtle Beach. We had very informal sunset ceremony with close friends and family. My only regret was that we both had lost a parent 4 months prior to our wedding. My fiance' (at the time) had lost his father on May 13, 2011 and I lost my mother May 14, 2011. We placed chairs in there memory with a single white rose. At the end of the ceremony we went down to the edge of the water and placed the roses on the sand and watched the tide take them out. It was a very bitter sweet moment. It's kind of funny, my husband never takes his cap off...only exception is the shower and bed (he's embarassed of his hair thinning) so on our wedding day we got ready to make our entrance on the beach and he looks at me and says, "You want me to take my cap off?" I just laughed and said no honey your fine, that cap makes you you. I knew he already had the wedding day jitters so I didn't want him to walk out in front of all his friends without his cap (some that had never seen him without it) he would have just died LOL. It didn't matter anyway we were outside not like we were in a church, that would have been a different story. I hope to return to Myrtle Beach every year for our anniversarys, it will always hold a special place in my heart.
