The word for me that best describes Philadelphia is - vintage. Vintage is defined in the dictionary as meaning: representing the high quality of a past time: vintage cars; vintage movies.   old-fashioned or obsolete   being the best of its kind    

Philadelphia to my way of thinking will never be obsolete. It has a down home, accessibility yet rich vibrant history. I've been there on several occasions and I never get tired of it. Philly's got soul - not the hectic, madcap soul of NYC or the over the top 'prestige' of Washington, DC. Philly has its own soul and I love it.
