Ask Away!

I can be a pretty private person, but the whole EP experience has taught me better :D

So go ahead, ask me whatever you like (:

Here's a question... WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GO? (heh)

All worthy goals ... a kind of Jacqueline Cousteau ... yes, I can see that. It would incorporate your fine mind, aquatic skills and penchant for the performing arts. Linguistics? Intellectually stimulating, yes. But a bit staid given your adventurous spirit and the totality of your aspirations. Then again ... an avocation or two might serve as satisfactory outlets. Sociology? Perhaps. Your specific interest in combating child prostitution could be channeled through a variety of avenues. I assume that your domestic university system includes general education courses and internships?

Hah! Latent performing artist indeeed.

I just applied for uni, dont know where I'm going yet. Uni here is pretty different from just about anywhere else. The only courses available here are the very practical sort - all my friends in local universities are doing either accounting, business, engineering, medicine or law. Boring stuff, not for me really. I'd much rather study something not directly obvious, like Norse mythology or Sanskrit lit you know?

I'm hoping to pursue marine biology. It's a childhood dream really, to be like Steve Irwin but more marine-specialized. At the age of ten I had my life plan: First I'd study hard and be a regular little scientist, then graduate to sailing around the world discovering new species and stuff like that. At the peak of my fame, I'd be some kind of media personality, and use my dashing good looks and shark-wrestling ability to increase awareness and spread the message of marine conservation. I WAS ten. So yep I want to go to university of Queensland to do marine biology. They only take in 40 candidates a year though so yeep. Plus I'm not even Australian.

But I also applied for linguistics here in Singapore, because I've always been interested in the ancient languages, and watching Youth Without Youth really got me thinking about the origin of language and all that. Fascinating stuff.

I'm also considering sociology, but that would be a giant leap I'm not sure I'm ready for yet. If I do sociology, I'd be travelling a lot to help the poverty-stricken from third world countries. Actually what I really want to fix is child prostitution. It just makes me so upset, and it happens so close to home. I really want to change that, but I dont know how. I feel really young and small and insignificant you know? But I cant just bury my head in the sand and pretend nothing's happening.

Okay, I know you're a swimmer. Add to that cycling and long-distance running and then dancing...I'd guess you have a resting heart rate somewhere in the 40s bpm. Given your job with children and your dream to dance before an audience, mixed together with your nude modeling interest, I'd say that there is at least a latent performing artist lurking within your silhouette.

College major?

unspokenconfessions:

In terms of looks, I would have to pick some Bollywood actress, and the only one I can think of right now is Priyanka Chopra and she is waaay too hot to play me!

In terms of character though, it would have to be someone quirky like Johnny Depp. Not Depp-the-pirate-with-too-much-eyeliner, more of the old Depp in the movies before. I just love how he picks the strangest movies.

So if you could just cross Depp's quirk and Chopra's looks it would be just about right. Oh and throw in some Nicole Kidman for balance why not (:

I only have three (or four?) things in my bucket list right now so they are inevitably the top three, heh.
They are, in no particular order of importance,

Complete an Ironman and dedicate it to my grandmother. I hope to accomplish that before she passes on (she's 75)

Pose for a nude portrait and view it in a gallery. (Not sure where that one came from)

Dance before a large audience. Probably as one of the acts in a charity concert. (You know how some people sing in the shower? I dance. I turn on some music and just let myself go under the spray of water. I'm incredibly self-conscious about my dancing though and I cant dance in public sober)

What actress do you think best resembles you if there was ever a movie made about you?

What are the three top experiences on your bucket list?
