Why I Deleted My Fb Account.

So since i am a teenager, obviously, i would have fb. But i got sick of it. I had hundreds of so called 'friends' but their only people i know. Some aren't even people i know. I don't get why people add me, but we never, ever talk. I only talked to a maximum of around 6 or 7 people out of around 200 friends. So in the end, i simply deleted the account. Why have so many friends if you never talk? It's just a matter of popularity. I message my old classmated, people i laughed and had fun with on christmas and new years. Saying the greetings to everyone who was online which was around 20 people. 1 person replied. So i figured, why the hell should people who don't even talk to me have me as their 'friend'?! So now, i am like the only teenager without an fb account. So to ep 'friends' please, don't add me if you're not going to talk to me. Its just wrong, sad and outright disappointing.

    Your situation sounds like mine but I have under 100 friends on facebook. And even that I STILL don't talk to a good number of people. and 99% of the people on my list are family or family friends. I only talk every now and then but usually my facebook friends and i will comment/like on each other's statuses. But yeah, it ****** me off that some other people on my list have over 500 friends. Ridiculous. I barely get responses on the things i post on facebook, that's why i don't post often. I used to, but the strange thing is that compared to when I used to post often to how rare i post now. I seem to get more responses to my statuses now compared than before. Haha. it's weird. But yes, I know what you mean about facebook.

      :/ ahaha, its been a while since i wrote this story, i hope ur situation improves, whether it is if u want more friends or if u want to communicate more with them ^_^ good luck with everything.

    sounds like my facebook, i say good morening i get 3 responces lol

    but i block my mother in law on facebook she drives me nuts comenting on everything and like like like like everything , shes such a controler bang just shoot me lol i dont like fb or twitter its for the birds ep is so much better

    FB is a mess! I had it once, had a ton of "friends" on it and like you, I never talked to them or they me. I got tired of all the bull, so I deleted mine to.

    I'm certainly not a teenager but my age group everyone is trying to reconnect to their past. I like to live in the present. It was just plain ole blah to me.
