I have clients like you quite often. Don't stress over it! Pre-plan that some people will not like any haircut you get and are not shy about voicing their opinion loudly. This is where I have my clients "self talk" before a major change. This is the right time in life to do it! Once we get older we put on weight, our face changes etc.... Be brave, be positive and work with your stylist. There is nothing sexier than a woman with a fresh, fitted/custom haircut and the attitude to go with it! The attitude of confidence! The real you is inside! It's not your hair. Many husbands who don't really like short hair have told me that as long as I am cutting their wife's hair, I can cut it any way she wants! I try to encourage the positive to take over. That ability to get in touch with the inner/complex you is what sells the look! If I can be of service let me know.

Very easy: invite a hairdresser over to your place, talk about the style before and when he comes he does the job. No time for second thoughts, just do it. If you object at that time, he knows he has to go on.
