My mother has Pre- Multiple Sclerosis, meaning that she will most likely develop it in the future.  She already has many symptoms, like numbness, fatigue, and many other discomforts.  She gets an injection of Avonex every week to make her feel better and to slow down the process of MS.  This shot comes with side effects soon after it is injected.  The side-effects last for a day or two. She lays on the couch, and she shivers and feels very tired.  Without it every week, she hates going to work and gets tingly, has headaches, and she is angry all the time.  The rest of the week, until her next injection, she feels good. Little or no problems with MS symptoms.  She enjoys going to work.   I wish I could take all of her pain away.  I want the ability to heal her.  She suffers one way or the other.  I hope the side-effects of Avonex subside after her body is used to it.  I hate seeing her suffer.  She does not deserve this.  If I had the choice, I would take all of it for her in a heartbeat.  All she ever did was love me, so I would be happy to do that for her.
