I've Pushed Everyone Away

I have a mental disorder which causes me to push everyone away so I have no friends except on the internet. I don't trust people either, so making friends is hard. I also have a Paranoia disorder so that makes it hard too.

I'm extremely new to this site so I don't have any friends on here either! Anyone want to friend me? I'm just learning how this all works!

I too am new here. I feel as though the closer I get to people the more I have to push them away. That's the only way I won't get hurt. Well, it's the only way I can control the pain and sadness.

Hang in there.

I'm your friend honey! I'm here to listen when you need to talk! Try me sometime! Bill

I would love to be your friends, i m also new to this site.

It is cool having friends on the internet. You share their minds over distances of time and space.
I have built up a circle of friends, here in my town. The problem with modern living is that we never have time for anything.

So, let's talk strategy:
(1) I have friends that come around every month for a themed party. They club in money and I cook. We have had Greek, Zulu and Italian parties.
(2) I have friends that I met through the various charity organisations I volunteer for.
(3)I walk through the office at least three times a day to greet everyone.
(4) Have friends that don't fit into any of the categories above and we have standing dates to meet each other at various coffee shops.
(5) Make phone calls to make sure that everyone is all right.

They know that I am bipolar and accept it. When I was in the funny farm, I had scads of phone calls, letters and gifts.

We even had pre- and post institutionalization parties!

Some peolpe think that it is funny, some of my friends think that being bipolar improves my personality.
The Bipolar disorder is one of the cards I was dealt in life. I have to play it.
