I Want God

Well, actually I have found out that God does tell us what he wants us to do in his word the holy bible. Read Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14. However, only from a personal study of the bible will we be able to discern what the bible really teaches about what God's purpose is for us, for the earth and what the future holds for those now living and also for the dead. He does not talk to anyone now as he did back in bible times either through angels or prophets or in dreams but he reveals all that we need to know in his written word the bible. Read 2 Timothy 3:16, 17 to see this for yourself. Feel free to respond if you like what you have read here and want more information.

i didnt see a post from you. Did i miss it? you didnt delete it did you? Here i thought Joerio was talking to me..hehe...here i thought that when it said "matured & grow up" i understood it as being "a babe in Christ"..... thought i was still young in my walk.



People can say whatever they want here. i have no issues with members expressing their veiwpoints. i can learn alot of new things from listening to others. I believe what i believe now and no one can really change that anymore. thank you for sharing your comments.

How dare you tell me " you need to be matured and grow up." I think it applies to you.

I do not like uninformed people telling me what I should believe. I am very mature and have been through the mill of Sunday School, Scripture lessons at school and been to many churches.

I used to say prayers every night up until 20 years ago until I analysed the situation. There is no real proof of a God, Allah or whatever you call it. Science offers so many proofs of life. Why would any Deity create man in "His" image? This is just mans ego. It is the fear of a non-existence after dieing that has created religions and given unscrupulous men the opportunity to control others. Why do religions threaten people who do not follow their beliefs (Kill the Infidel or burn in Hell for Eternity). I could go on an on about my thoughts but will leave it at that.

Dear Friend, you need to cultivate the habit of hearing from God. God speaks to his children in different ways.

It could be through the inner witness of the Spirit

It could be directly from his word

It could be audibly

It could be through revelations, visions etc

But all in all, test what you hear with the Word because God and his word are One, He never contradicts it.

As a true Child of God, He would definitely speak to You, maybe you have not been sensitive enough and if so, you need to be matured and grow up.

You and i have something in common, i was also miraculously delivered from an accident over Ten years ago and to God be the Glory i'm still serving Him.

Start by making small changes, one thing here, and one thing there.



Also you must take in “accurate knowledge” of God and his Son.



Notice what Jesus said:

(John 17:3) 3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.

Do not be down on yourself! There are many examples in the Bible of ones who did MANY worst things than you.



Have you burned children in a fire? No you have not. However Manasseh in the Bible did and he made big changes after years of doing bad. He changed before it was too late (His Death).



(2 Kings 21:6) 6 And he made his own son pass through the fire, and he practiced magic and looked for omens and made spirit mediums and professional foretellers of events. He did on a large scale what was bad in God Jehovah’s eyes, to offend him.



He Changed:



(2 Chronicles 33:11-13) . . .. 12 And as soon as it caused him distress, he softened the face of Jehovah his God and kept humbling himself greatly because of the God of his forefathers. 13 And he kept praying to Him, so that He let himself be entreated by him and He heard his request for favor and restored him to Jerusalem to his kingship; and Ma•nas′seh came to know that Jehovah is the [true] God.



Look at what the apostle Paul said about the conduct that some had; however they changed because he said “That is what some of you WERE".



(1 Corinthians 6:9-11) 9 What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, 10 nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom. 11 And yet that is what some of YOU were. But YOU have been washed clean, but YOU have been sanctified,. . .





We all fall short…we just need to make sure we don’t “practice” sin.

that was an awesome answer. i guess my problem right now is i am living a not so righteous life...and not ready to give it up...i attend church on occassion. I just need to walk on the right path, not enjoying the sin of the world. If i asked for forgiveness and read the bible daily and tried to live a righteous life..i think i would hear God clearly....but i think i am deaf due to sin....one day when i am ready i think i will walk on the right path again!

The only way to know for sure what God wants is to open the Bible. It is not up to “I feel, or My opinion”.



Jehovah created this earth so that humans could enjoy living on it forever. He wanted the earth always to be inhabited by righteous, happy people. (Psalm 115:16; Isaiah 45:18) The earth will never be destroyed; it will last forever.—Psalm 104:5; Ecclesiastes 1:4.



Before God made man, He chose one small part of the earth and made it into a beautiful paradise. He called it the garden of Eden. It was here that he put the first man and woman, Adam and Eve. God purposed for them to have children and fill the whole earth. Gradually they would have made the entire earth into a paradise.—Genesis 1:28; 2:8, 15.



Adam and Eve sinned by deliberately breaking God’s law. So Jehovah put them out of the garden of Eden. Paradise was lost. (Genesis 3:1-6, 23) But Jehovah has not forgotten his purpose for this earth. He promises to make it into a paradise, where humans will live forever. How will he do this?—Psalm 37:29.



Before this earth can become a paradise, wicked people must be removed. (Psalm 37:38) This will happen at Armageddon, which is God’s war to end wickedness. Next, Satan will be imprisoned for 1,000 years. This means that no wicked ones will be left to spoil the earth. Only God’s people will survive.—Revelation 16:14, 16; 20:1-3.



Then Jesus Christ will rule as King over this earth for 1,000 years. (Revelation 20:6) He will gradually take sin away from our minds and bodies. We will become perfect humans just as Adam and Eve were before they sinned. Then there will be no more sickness, old age, and death. Sick people will be cured, and old persons will become young again.—Job 33:25; Isaiah 33:24; Revelation 21:3, 4.



During Jesus’ Thousand Year Reign, faithful humans will work to turn the whole earth into a paradise. (Luke 23:43) Also, millions of dead ones will be resurrected to human life on the earth. (Acts 24:15) If they do what God requires of them, they will continue to live on earth forever. If not, they will be destroyed forever.—John 5:28, 29; Revelation 20:11-15.



God’s original purpose for the earth will thus succeed. Would you like to share in these future blessings? If so, you need to keep learning about Jehovah and obeying his requirements. Attending meetings at the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses will help you to do so.—Isaiah 11:9; Hebrews 10:24, 25

I can only answer you as I see it through my eye's. There is a song we sing in church that start's like this. Those that wait upon the lord shall renew their strengh. You feel you are waiting on God but he is waiting on YOU. Pretty much you state I want to know NOW. God is waiting for you to humble your heart to him. To say OK lord here I am and I lay my life in your hand's, I will learn of you and grow strong in your woud and will wait on you to open the door's that you would have me walk through.



Are you strong enough in your faith and his word to be a witness for him ? Do you know his word well enough to be able to back up what you are telling another by quoting the book and verse out of the bible as proof of his word ? If not you will start to get discouraged when you try and will wind up backing away from your walk with the lord. Too many young christian's give their heart to God and want to share him with the world but go out unprepaired in his word and fail and quit.



So I will ask you this again. If God told you what he wanted of you, have you prepaired yourself for what he may ask ? Are you strong in your faith and in his word. God know's what is in your heart.

When I pray for myself this is my prayer. Lord teach me to humble my heart before you, mold me into who you would have me to be. Help me to alway's be green in you so that I may alway's grow in my daily walk with you. When you would have me witness for you, I pray that you speak through me and give me the wisdom of what to say, and when you are done talking Put Your Hand Across My Mouth so that I will not overstep the holy spirite. I ask that your will be done in my life, Amen

yeah it can be very disappointing at times. hope we can both figure it all out before its too late. :D

Ah, don't u just hate that? I wish I knew becuz it would give me hope to keep on living. without knowin wat it is, I just gave up hoping--after 9 years (boy was I stubborn!). I don't know if there is a "plan" anymore but to tell others about God. Besides that--no idea wat those preachers were talking about! The way preachers bang on about the purpose-thing, it's like its yr fault if yr not super-intelligent or gifted, and that's not very nice!

thats funny because its so true. No one ever wants to go threw the bad stuff. I just know that God loves me and i truly have a good life. i just wish i understood it more, ya know?

What we have trouble with understanding is we have to live threw the bad to be able to see the pure joy of the good ... some times when God does give us his direct answers we way too often think well I am not too sure I like that answer and go on our own path and soon realize we are at a dead end and should have taken the one God has asked us to take,,

I believe life is to be experienced.

Some of my friends say that I should have been a minister of religion, because when we discusse that subject, I end up saying the truth of the bible without reading it much and more importantly when my faith is wicca and dragons.

The first thing that God wants is that we use our jugement and our wisdom to make decision by ourselves. He want us to be ready for anything, because he knows we could do anything.

Secondly, Gods want us to listen and see and perceive what goes around us. Because he does give signs, but we must decipher them. How can we decipher thing we did not see nor ear, or perceive first?

Thirdly, when rage and lusting consumme us, we are blinded by those emotions so much that we miss a lot of infromations we need.

Lastly, you don't need to go to church to talk with him. You just have to pray, talk and meditate and listen. You can light a candle near your bed, sit down, close your eyes, envision him being there and say what you want him to know. He always know what we need, he give what we need. What we want is not always what we need. That is why there seems to always have challenge in front of us.

Don't be scared, because your worst enemy is within you. Know that you have friends and familly to help you. Take care of you on all plan (physical, emotional, financial, psychological, spiritual, mental, etc.)

Be you blessed by the celestial spirits of your faith.

after writing this...a few hours later i am busy cleaning my house and the doorbell rings and its my assist pastor from my church.....i guess its been since Easter when i was there last. I think God is trying to tell me "get your butt back in church and you will hear what i have to say to you". I am scared. I want my cake and i want to eat it too :D
