wish I was more of a gentle person in the way that I wish I can connect and be more touchy feely with other people like I am with animals. I have no problem kneeling down and petting a stray cat or dog or taking a few min out of my time to pay some attention. Yet I can barely even crack a smile at another person when I'm not at work where I feel obligated to. I guess I feel comfortable with animals cause I know my feelings of love and attention will be returned whereas people hurt others unintentionally, some on purpose. Feels like any gesture is a waste. Or gestures get turned into games.
