Imagine ...

A major food group - Ice Cream.

Healthy vanilla and chocolate. Even Neapolitan and sherbet.

Instead of a good healthy slice of bread, maybe a healthy scoop of ice cream.

It could be not only a dessert but also part of the main course. A side dish like a 'new vegetable'.

Ahhhhh, wouldn't it be nice.

I've started buying the nonfat frozen vanilla yogurt with extra calcium and vitamin D and only 90 calories in half a cup! ....That's KINDA healthy, right??? LOL<br />

(Yea - I know, I'm not supposed to eat the entire half gallon box in one sitting)

True, I forgot about frozen yougurt, it is even better yet. I've had it and it really doesn't taste that much different from ice cream.

Learn a new thing everyday. See it pays to be my friend :)

Technically, in moderation of course, ice cream is much better for you than most other desserts. Especially soft serve, and sherbet is even better than that. So you could afford to indulge a bit more with ice cream than with other sweets. Also my grandmother used to always tell my mother that if she ever over ate she should have a cup of vanilla ice cream, for some reason it helps aleve the bloat. How's that? :)
