Shorn For The Savior

You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did." James 2:22

Greetings to all my friends and family,
I have a burden on my heart that I wanted to share with you and am making a plea for your assistance. I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research >grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. The big day is May 7th at Cal State and I am hoping to raise $5,000 by then. You can go online to donate at www.stbaldricks.org and click on "Make a donation" and look for my name, access it thru my Face book page under "Traci Walden", or donate by phone at :(888) 899-BALD (2253). When you donate please make sure you give them my name so my team will receive credit.

I will admit that I have trepidation about shaving my hair off, especially when you consider that it is halfway down by back. But, I will use this opportunity to serve God and I will trust that serving God is more important than outer beauty. I ask that everyone reading this not only will be in prayer for the children struck with cancer, but I also ask that you prayerfully consider donating to this very worthy cause. Please do not be concerned if it is only a small amount, trust me, it adds up. God bless you in advance for your help.
