I Do

I wish more people supported each other instead of tearing one another down. I have seen so many examples here and in real life lately where there was an opportunity to build others up and it was passed by in favor of taking cheap shots at the other person. It is a sad thing to see.

I hate to say it, but, in my experience, women are a lot worse about this (tearing other women down) than men are. Some women actually seem to get some kind of sick satisfaction from doing it. This type of thing is rampant on EP; when someone leaves a kind or encouraging comment, it is such a breath of fresh air. I think that most people just want to be understood; if you validate their feelings, that means so much to them. If you disagree with them, try to tell them why their point of view is wrong, or attack them by making belittling or judgemental comments, 1), you're probably not going to get them to change their mind; you'll only make them defensive, 2) you're probably not going to tell them anything they haven't already heard/thought about before, and 3) taking cheap shots at another person only makes YOU look like a jerk.
To belittle is to be little.
Yet, so many people love to do it.
Sometimes, it seems that junior high never ends.
Still, I'm convinced that not everyone is like this. They may be rare, but encouraging comments do happen.

yes that is true.

I agree but theres too much hate in the world

Thanks 4vr

Its very easy to be supportive. I disagree with a couple people's comments. It doesn't take any more time to be encouraging than to be discouraging. Its a choice and many chose the negative point of view. Its almost like a disease, some catch it and pass it on and others don't, they are repelled by it. Good story fungirlmmm.

Thanks y'all. ((hugs))

I totally agree with this story and Yes we need more of those around

unfortunately when we get angry we don't realize we showing an ugly side and nobody needs to see that

Maybe im weird cus i feel better when i get the opportunity 2 make some1 else feel better.

Easy to support one of EP's best ladies.

Thanks y'all!

Probably people are getting lazy cause it would take effort to build up someone and no effort to kick them while they are down.

Such a good point FG that people need to give a word of encouragement and hug which most of the time can really go a long way to make another persons day a little brighter...
Tearing down is easier. Builing up involves an ongoing relationship. That means some time and commitment.
