A personal story in the experience: I Wish People Would Realize How Their Actions Hurt Others

o many times we go through life and don't realize the consequences of our actions, or is it that we don't care anymore. Either way, why are we all so oblivious to the pain of others?? Why, when we see our opening to come between two people do we jump at the chance?? Why do we make remarks that cut people so deep at times that leaves a scar that last forever?? Why do we feel the need to constantly put strain on people when they are already on the edge of losing it all?? Why don't people seem to care anymore about common decency and compassion for others?? All some care about is themselves and feeding their need for attention in whatever way they can get it, so what if they tear people apart or hurt them so badly with their words or actions as long as they get their fix, they don't care. It's a shame how human beings become so obsessed with themselves and their needs that they forget to be kind and caring to one another. They forget to treat people with respect and decency....compassion and love. They forget to treat them the way they themselves want to be treated. Is that such a bad thing to strive for??

  | Posted Jul 2nd, 2008 at 11:59PM It is sad the things we do to one another just to benifit ourselves. I tend to think that sometimes people are so miserable that they want the rest of us to be miserable so they sabotage every one they come in contact with. We have to be strong enough to say "you know what, your not going to bring me down". It's tough sometimes, believe me, I actually let someone get to me today, so I know. See these people for what they really are and move on from them. You can never keep people like that from coming into contact with you but you can try to not let them get to you. You drown out the negativity from people and surround yourself with positive people and positive thinking. +3 nods   |
 | Posted Jul 3rd, 2008 at 12:06AM Great post Kylie. I could feel your heart in this post. I also can't understand why we have to publicly attack one another and we can't talk things through. I don't expect that we will all sit around the campfire singing loving friendship songs but i do expect to be treated with respect. For the most part most people do treat me in that manner but there are a few that don't and it annoys me sometimes that we allow this to happen to each other. +3 nods |

Kinda like how dare us be happy when they are not, even though they try to portray to others that they are, inside they are as tormented as the rest of us. | Posted Jul 3rd, 2008 at 1:41PM I just feel like people need to step back and start thinking before say and do things. Our actions everyday on here and in real life have consequences and can deeply affect people and not always in a positive way. And yes baby, they don't like to see people happy cause it reminds them of how miserable and unfulfilled their lives really are. |
