I have stepped on eggshells since my wife started staying home eight years ago. I am gone from the house from 7:30am until 8pm every day. (Very long commute). When my kids were very little, I excused the lack of housework because of her need to take care of them. Now they are in school and she has at least 10 hours a week with all of the kids gone and 25 with at least two of them gone.

Still, I come home to dishes piled up in the sink and laundry everywhere.

I still blame myself for not doing enough as she insists other husbands go to work and them come home and cook the dinner and vacuum.

Not flirting with you at all, but your husband is a very lucky man.

Your man may not always say it but i swear to you that he loves you more then life itself. A man well give all to a woman that truly loves him. Its a give and give relationship. Not give and take...

I couldn't agree more. I am also lucky to be allowed to stay home and not have to go out and work. My husband works sooo hard for me and the kids. I absolutely adore cleaning our home, ironing his shirts and waiting on him when he is home. I don't want my husband to lift a finger when he is home unless he wants to . I love doing what I can to look after him.

Agreed. I work and my wife cleans, cooks, and keeps herself desirable. Fair trade. When we both worked we split the duties and flowed with the circumstances. No hard feelings. No regrets. We're still married and in love after 46 years, must be working.

I think both partners should help out but if one is home all day they carry most of the burden while the other one works.

I think that if I my husband provides my home and a good life and allows me to stay home, the least I can do is keep it clean. Plus, there is no way I would be content to live in a house cleaned to his standards anyway, nor would I want my child living that way. Men don't care about stuff like that. My mother felt the same way and I guess I'm probably old fashioned about certain things but I get to be the princess so why not be nice back? Too many girls want to be the princess with no responsibility whatsoever. That is ridiculous I think. I personally think I have it made, even though I have to keep the house clean. If you keep it clean all the time, it really takes little time or effort to maintain it.

Thats a great story, Glad to hear there are some women who still feel that way, don't get me wrong I don't mind helping. my wife works now, she used to only do the bare mininum she she didnt tho. i never understood why the house wasn't clean all the time.

A good wife should spare no effort to please her husband, and should treat him with respect and admiration, as is befitting his status as a man. Women should show deference to all men, but above all is her husband. Love you story. Warm Kisses.

The other day, the surgeon asked my wife if she worked. I immediately said yes... as a housewife. And she has to chase after a 5 year old all day. It's no easy task. It would have been easier if we were stil in our 30s, but we are in our late forties now, and it's getting harder to keep up.

We all make choices. Once the choice is made, we have to make certain we do the very best we can do at whatever choice we make. Obviously, you do.

Only a strong confident woman, can make a comment like that - you each have a role, and none more important than a good house and a well raised child, - but also the desire to make him happy, and i am sure the same for him. well done
