I feel like we think a lot alike. But I'm not sure how I feel about nothingness afterwards. I feel the presence of people i have lost pretty frequently, or maybe it's just the way I cope with their death and facing my own

Just to tell you that I share your concern about death. You brought an interesting point, I can tell you that I've had the same feelings lately. No faith can relieve the anxiety of not existing anymore, that's for sure. Faith cannot prove anything, science can, because it's based on observed facts. We can't expect to understand the world and the human condition through faith. We cannot prove anything, which doesn't mean that there is no afterlife. We just don't know, period. These things don't depend on opinions people may have.
Not long ago, I've developed an interest in cosmology. I think logical explanations on the universe have helped me a great deal in becoming more rational. It's not a sin not to have or have little faith, neither is it a sin to try to understand the world intellectually. All I can say is as a catholic, my faith is always going up and down! That's why I find physics and cosmolgy pretty soothing . To conclude, let's not forget that all things that exist in this universe are just information, and that information is never destroyed, information is forever.

I am a Christian and I'd rather believe in heaven (I haven't lost anything by believing) than not believe and take a chance on losing everything. That's not the only reason I am a Christian though. I truly am a follower of Christ. I love and trust Him as my Saviour. :)

Dr Ron Moody wrote a book based on the recorded experiences of patients in a hospital, who died and were revived.

He concluded that regardless of age, sex, religion and cultural differences, death was the same experience for all

You will never find the truth in a book of fiction.

I have had a death experience and it was the most wonderfully warm loving and accepting experience ever !

Your friends and family are there (even pets who have passed on)

You can read more detail in my blog.

I have since investigated further and read more about what others have experienced and Dr Ron Moody 's books say that the experience is the SAME for everyone regardless of age, education, race or culture (includes religious beliefs)

    It's good news folks !

I am cloaked in it. I am always a pallbearer and never a bridesmaid?! The curiosity only fuels my imagination...let's try for some better or at least more original ideas of life and death...

I'm so sick of the archetypes! But **** if anyone can put together a whole bunch of life and lessons and some extremely strange allegories...I can...maybe we'll create a DIFFERENT TYPE OF MOVEMENT.
