We Know Those Voted Into Office Lost Theirs

It is very sad to think that the very people who should be setting the example for all of us are the very ones who are encouraging bad behaivor.

If our elected officials can't even follow the rules and conduct themselves in an apprropriate matter.  How are we to teach our children?  How are we to expect ourselves and others to act responsibly?

Convictions, society is loosing them just as it has lost self discipline, self resonsibility, good manners, respect for others, respect of self, love of country, knowledge of right from wrong, thankfullness, forgiveness, perseverance, ability to learn from failure, the allowing of failure, and so much more.

Americans and America is not what we should be and we have become a complacent self serving society.  With this as our core value there can be no conviction or desire to become what we once were.

It is very sad indeed.<br />

"No one in the world can change Truth. What we can do and should do is to seek truth and to serve it when we have found it. The real conflict is the inner conflict. Beyond armies of occupation and the hecatombs [e.g. the sacrifice of many victims] of extermination camps, there are two irreconcilable enemies in the depth of every soul: good and evil, sin and love. And what use are the victories on the battlefield if we ourselves are defeated in our innermost personal selves?" (Fr. Maximilian Kolbe, d.Auschwitz 1941).
