I Wonder If I Am a Bad Friend

My friend died. He was 'unresponsive'. They didn't want visitors. Just wanted everyone to remember him as he was.

I know someone from work. I've been helping her or at least fooling myself into thinking I am helping her. They give her chemo to kill everything and then comes in and I help her pick out the stuff she wants to try and build back up. She left me word at work the other day that she was now 'cancer free'.

One big ******* circle, huh?

    Cancer is a *****. : (

    We were watching a documentary the other night on Polio, and I wondered aloud if people would one day be watching a documentary on cancer...as horrified as we were about Polio. I wish.

    I just read your story about your music teacher and I get it now. I sounds like you tried to get in touch and that's the important thing. Read 'Proof of Heaven' by Eden Alexander. It might be encouraging. Datura recommends it.

    It is a circle.

    I keep typing and erasing because everything I want to say sounds so cheesy.

    Give kindness whenever you can and accept people's gifts when offered. That's a good life.

    Oh, Scoobs, I'm sorry about your friend. That must be awful. And, I'm sure you did help the person form work, how could you have not. It's wonderful that she's better. But, it is a circle, isn't it.
