A Lot, Is Supposed to Be Two Words...

not one. But the reason, I think, is that they either didn't learn it that way, or are don't care enough to do it correctly.

Anyway, there you go. My little sniping...

The other one that really annoys me (because I am anal) is "to" when they mean "too". Come on people. That is something we learned in elementary school! Also, "there", "their", and "they're" get totally confused, and most people only use "there" for every thing.

You are (conjunction is you're) right!!! I did forget your, and you're. Sorry about that. LOL.
I know how you feel Aly, we do have spell check, though if you are going to depend on that, you might as well go back to elementary school.
And, there is a difference between typos, and truly just not doing it right.
Another one I just thought of, is, then and than. So many people just pick one, and use it all the time, even if the other one is needed instead. *sigh*
I think we found one of my soap boxes again... Sorry guys. LOL.

Okay - those examples were on my 4th graders spelling test last week.

But I have another pet peeve (sp? lol) - using mute (meaning no sound) for moot (having no practical value) - That's a mute point! aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!

I am sure I could think of some more plus if I wanted to be really bitchy - what's with not spelling words correctly when we all have spell check?? Anyway, it doesn't really drive me crazy (esp. because lately I can't type worth a darn) - just had to put my two (or is that to or too??) cents worth in!

You forgot to include "your" and "you're" in your list.
