I Work As a Housekeeper In a Hotel
I worked at the Mercure Hotel Brisbane and the Beaufort Heritage Hotel Brisbane... great places...
at the mercure it was mostly tourist buses - we had heaps of asian tours and the singapore army and asian sporting torniment tour groups...
and jury sleep overs near the law courts...
at the heritage hotel we had most 5 star lots of pilots and parliamentary people stay over.
it was hard work making hundreds of beds - I used to have a whole floor to myself and clean up to 25 or more rooms the stays were quick and the checkouts harder to get thru but it was a ok job ... I would clear out all the junk and used linen and then make the beds, clean restock the bar and bathrooms and make it spic n span... but back then I was 23 I could do that and clean my parents house spotless and still do university or college - how did I do it ???? I can't now.
you get to see a different world back of house and I worked in the butlers quaters and seen some sites - half a dozen to a dozen bottles of champaign falling out and breaking and you'd want to cry - price of the bottles were so expensive- so you'd think "thank god it wasn't me who broke them"...
