I Work At a Hotel

Tomorrow is my first day of work at Homewood Suites (Hilten) Hotel. I will be a housekeeper and I'm really nervous. They gave me a huge handbook to read over which I have but it's still so much to take in.

So starting tomorrow I get my uniform and most start training. I guess I am just nervous I will make too many mistakes. You should have seen the policies in that handbook on when you do something wrong. 

I will have a list of all the rooms I have to clean and after 3 months they will evaluate me. I think after that I will give an application to the hotel in my town so it will be much closer. But for now, this was the only job I've been able to get since 2011. And I'd rather do housekeeping then retail. Retail of any kind is my enemy. 

So I'm just hoping I get the hang of this job and it becomes second nature. Good luck to me.

    you wil be slow and forgetful at first,expect to get yelled at alot and redo your rooms but once you get a rythem its good and fast and easy

    We all have to start somewhere & I was taught that if I don't work I dn't eat. I occasionally have to stay in hotels & motels & I am greatful someone like you cleaned the room & will again after my stay. I was taught those skills as a small child.& if I had to I would apply to be a co-worker before I went hungry or let my family go hungry. At least you are trying to help yourself.

      I understand that. You have to work to survive. And thank you, I just hope I do a good job.

      you'll do fine. You will make mistakes & occasionally you'll have to deal with customers who Jesus Christ can't please but perfection isn't required. Just do your best
