I Love It And Hate It.

Love: no commute, dress (or don't dress) how i want, my dog is always here, no monitored intarweb.

Hate: cabin fever, nobody to talk to sometimes, making my own coffee

I'm currently doing web programming and developing a software product all working from home. Try to get out now and then at least to walk or exercise, but thats it. :-(

I agree with all of the above and then some.

So what exactly do you do?

I totally know what you mean. I love love LOVE the fact that I can wake up at 8am and be at my desk by 8.05 with a cup of tea in hand. No work place politics. If work is slow I am not tied to my desk. No spending a fortune at the petrol station every month. So many positives.

But I am single and live alone so it can get kinda quiet (the first few months took some getting used to). I can also get into the routine of never going out and just working, I try to make an effort to get to the shops / walk the dogs or something just to get out of the house each day. The other downside is that there is no clear line between work and personal life so I will check my emails last thing before bed and work late, that sort of thing
