Childcare Facilities Can Be Scary Places

I  have worked as a sitter since I was 12 yrs old and later years at several top preschools and daycares. I REFUSE to let my child to go a daycare/preschool after witnessing all that I have. And not at ONE - but at ALL of them. There is always a teacher or teacher(S) who are disrespectful and hateful, slam children into chairs, get down in their faces and say mean things, grab them WAY too roughly by their arms or wrists. And do you know what gets done if another employee complains about this behavior? At best - not much. At worst - you get fired or your hours cut until you cannot afford to work there anymore.

I stay home with my 2 year old daughter and have since her birth. After witnessing all that I have, I KNOW she is where she needs to be. I know people say 'I can't afford to not work'. I am a SINGLE mother. I get child support payments. And my son is disabled so he recieves SSI. I work when I can/how I can. I babysit from time to time, clean houses for people I know, run errands for people. And I plan carefully. We sacrifice a lot of 'entertainment' because of my decision - but it Is what's best. God gave me these little bundles of joy and I am not taking that responsibility lightly. If you 'MUST' put your children in  - keep your eyes and ears open. If your gut says something is wrong - something is WRONG! Just sayin'...

I am not trying to scare anyone. I am simply stating the facts as I have seen them over the past 13 years.
