The Night Shift - Some Good, Some Bad

I work the night shift (22.30-08.00) in a public hospital every second weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun). On the positive side, it pays better (penalty rates) and means you don't have to spend as much of your time working to earn a decent income. I also love the quietness and calm (relative to the day shift chaos), and the fact that you have more responsibility because there are hardly any staff on. On the negative side, its really hard on your body, especially when you are pregnant! Also, insomnia can creep in when you're not on shift...hence I am here at the computer right now instead of in bed where I should be.
