Too Young

A single day went by between my 16th Birthday and the day i started my first job. I recieved a job at a local diner as a hostess.

my birthday was in february and by june i had picked up another job at a fast food chain and juggled the two for another 4 months before dropping down to just the fast food.

then just six months later, i pick up a job at a retail store selling first shoes, then electronics.

Im now 18 years old and continuing to work both jobs. Averaging about 80 hours a week in the food service and 30 hours in retail.

I have given myself no life to live. Teenager? You'd never guess. I don't party. I don't go to the movies or the mall. I work to pay the bills. I am 18 and just missed the most important part of my life.

Do you have to work that many hours to survive? It's not good for your emotional well-being. Do you live w/ people who can help share bills?

do you believe in change

That's a staggering amount of hours!!! Whoever's bills you're paying, there must be some way of reducing expenses, surely. I admite your work ethic and your sheer stamina, but it seems to me that there's no way you can keep that up long term. A better solution is required! :)
