Summer (in Australia)

The inland at this time of the year (high Summer) is always extremely hot. Yesterday was the hottest on record & potentially disastrous on the coast (in Sydney) because the intensely hot weather drifted across. If anyone is interested:

It is a significant event.

To Luke - yes, if there is a will to act...quickly, I think.

Yes it is - but this is record breaking hot. the point is not that it's about how many people are or are not dying (I'm not indifferent to that either...), but about what such a series of events signifies worldwide.

Its high summer. Its supposed to be hot. Meanwhile Korea, China, Russia, and several other places are having record cold with lots of people dying.
