Weight Gain

I have always been overweight. Finally, one summer, I ended up losing about 40lbs within a month and a half. I was so happy. I was getting into size 12 jeans. Then, after I graduated high school and started working security, I started gaining all my weight back. Now, I am heavier than I've ever been. I'm so ashamed of myself that I let myself get this big again. I would really love to lose the weight again, but its so hard when you are depressed. I just need to get off my lazy butt and do something about it, right??

Thanks. I try...but I have an eating disorder. It's compulsive overeating. I can't seem to stop myself. It's an addiction....like cigs, drugs and alcohol are to some people. I don't know what to do with myself!

swap out the food addiction for meth and WOW!less then two months you could be an Olsen twin!

I know exactly what you mean. When I was in high school I was thin. (Not like everyone else. Size 5 instead of size 2. Still thin) After high school I gained 35 pounds and I thought that the best thing to do was to accept my body the way it was.Truth is the more weight I gained the worse I got. I got upset and then I ended up depressed. I have to tell you that when you are younger it is easier to lose weight. As you get older it is much harder. The thing for me was to slowly exercise each day. I started drinking more water and I also got involved with work and volunteering. I tried diet pills which caused me to lose weight temporarily and then gain weight right away. I tried everything. Truth is by drinking more water and exercising alittle a day I actually lost some weight. What I recommend for you is to do that and also you can eat 3 well-balanced meals or 6 small meals (3 healthy snacks-granola bars, health bars, shakes). I wish you the best of luck. I know you can lose the weight. DOn't give up and keep on trying. :)
