Shot Myself In the Foot

When I focus my attention at getting more work done, I've pretty much just shot myself in the foot.  Then the pressure is on, and ideas that are could actually be quite brilliant go no where.  I stare at the computer screen or that book I need to read for class and find myself reading and re-reading the same passage.  Which evidently just raises my stress level farther and farther.  Until I really don't want to do anything.

Oh, Wheeeew! I thought you'd LITTERALLY shot your foot! "Hobbling" at work can be very frustrating and tiresome! Guess that was the exact point of your story, eh??!! * smacks forhead with sudden foresight*
