I Would Like to Have a Nudist Family
We started nudism when the kids were more or less in the late tween years. My daughter was 12 and was going through a strange stage.
You see the laundry facilities were located in a closet in the hallway near the kitchen. You had to pass the laundry closet before you could get to the bedrooms. Normally everyone would just drop their dirty clothes in the washer and I would separate the colors and do the laundry when I woke up at 5am every morning and there was never a problem.
Gradually I started to notice that there was more and more laundry to do and the cost in utilities was going through the roof, not to mention the cost of laundry supplies and we were not “Job Creators (rich, wealthy or well off)” It seemed in the middle of the day there would be a pile on the floor waiting to be washed and at first this was no problem even though it wasn’t how we did things and we had to step over the pile to get to our rooms, but then the piles kept getting bigger and bigger and I also noticed that the extra laundry only belonged to my daughter (Also my daughter seemed to start having a problem with head lice at around the same period of time and we couldn’t get rid of them for some reason.) , so I went to confront her on why she had so much laundry to do and I was about to demand she start doing her own laundry from then on, but when I entered her room she was trying on outfits. This would have been no big deal, but what she was doing was taking an outfit out of her closet to try it on, but if she didn’t like it she would toss it on the floor and reach for another outfit.
I told her that she had to hang those clothes back up and she said. “I can’t. They were on the floor and that made them dirty. (That explained the rash of dirty laundry.)
I told her that they weren’t dirty and to hang them up and she refused which turned into a yelling session. As we argued I noticed that some of the clothes on the floor and in her closet weren’t even hers. I asked why and she said she and her friends were trading and sharing clothing. (Which I guess is what girls that age do and it also explained the head lice problem. Oh and I put a stop to the sharing of clothes thing right there.)
So anyways she started to get defiant and that she would have nothing to do with washing her own clothes, so I laid down a new rule that from then on no clothes were allowed inside the house. This of course upset the boys and there were four of them.
(I should explain that had no intention of keeping the rule of course. It was a bluff, but what happened next is what changed us. You see I figured that the boys would exact a little peer pressure on her and convince her that she should start doing her own laundry, but she agreed to the new rule rather than have to cave, but the boys weren’t about to cave either.)
So with majority rule now in place the new rule took effect and from then on once we entered the house from either the front door or the back the clothes came off. Underwear and socks automatically went into the laundry and the outer clothes that were still clean got folded and placed back in the drawers under the existing folded clothes. That way they could wear them twice before being washed and never have to wear the same clothes two days in a row.
The largest change was that we saved a lot of money and I mean a lot. After my partner’s job was outsourced, collectively we decided to take the severance package, sell the house and move south into a family nudist community and so we did and never looked back.
