Showers Of sc<x>riptures

A group of ladies from church drove an hour or two to attend a ladies' meeting, some years ago. As we ate brunch, it was announced that we would participate in what was called, "Showers of scriptures," where we would stand and share our favorite verses. I was fairly new Christian at the time, and though excited about this activity, I was not familiar with many verses yet. I did stand and gave what I had, the first verse of Psalm 1. Immediately when I sat down, another lady shot up and delivered the next few verses. She was followed by another enthusiastic sister who finished Psalm 1 with gusto. It was very exciting. Those six verses are still very precious to me.
