Jajaja !!

    Oh, wow, that's too funny!

It's amazing how dialects can be so different. I'm really good friends with a married couple. The guy is a former Mormon missionary who learned Spanish in the Dominican Republic, and his wife is from Colombia. They mainly speak Spanish at home, and he now speaks it with a Colombian accent, haha.

We have another friend from Argentina, and I guess they have to change their pronunciation or wording a little to understand each other. I'm not sure how the dialects differ. But it all sounds the same to me.

I am woefully ignorant of Spanish, unfortunately. I took French in high school and Japanese in college. Nothing that could potentially help me on this continent, haha. What a crazy concept.
