It's So Sad To See

I have friends who have no business being married to one another...

...i know...who am I to say that? Nobody...but I observe them and it's sad...

I don't want a marriage like their's. A lot of my friends believe that it's just a matter of time before my boyfriend asks me the question. I tend to agree with them. The thought scares me to death.

Hmmm, scary thought. I know I am blessed because my parents love each other and show it all the time. I want that. However, I do see so many of my friends' parents that are just like you describe. So how do you make sure you pick the right person? What's the test? Not that I'm worried about it yet, but I see what you're saying and it is scary.

My parents also love each other very much and show it all the time. They have been married for 35 years. You would think seeing them together would make me more secure about marriage. I guess I've seen to much of the other as well. I don't want to make a mistake. My boyfriend is an awesome guy and if I had to say yes or no right now as to whether he is the right guy or not, I'd say yes. It still scares me sometimes.

What you observed may be fair warning. There may be plenty of examples of people that have fallen into this existence. What is the proof that you need?

Why would you lead your bf to this?

My boyfriend is a great guy but the thought of marriage is what scares me. All women (and men) must have thought their spouse was perfect for them when they married. Somewhere down the road it's changed for a lot of people I know. I know I shouldn't be thinking this way and I wouldn't be if I hadn't spent a lot of time today with two married friends of mine who act like they don't like each other very much at all.
