15 Things In a Box...

So, say you were meeting a new person, a new friend. And you wanted them to have some idea of what kind of person you are, and who you are. But you can't actually tell them in so many words.

Instead, you have to give them a box, with 15 things in it for them to look at/read/listen to/taste/whatever. What would you put in the box?

In my box you would find:

1. Photograph of Me and Perseus
2. A silver ankh
3. A bottle of 50% peroxide and some bleach powder (yes, I know thats two items but count as one)
4. A tube of Sunforgettable sunblock
5. Copy of the film and book 'Interview with the Vampire'
6. A bag of cat fur from the various cats Ive owned
7. Black ballet slippers
8. A calligraphy fountain pen and piece of parchment
9. CDs ~ soundtrack to the film 'Powder' with a compilation CD of Our songs
10. A pair of New Rock boots
11. Two knitted Peas in a Pod
12. Copy of 'The Happy Prince' by Oscar Wilde
13. A pair of dark glasses
14. A bottle of diet pills
15. My Slytherin robes.

What will you put in your box?

It took Me some weeks to decide what I would put in and what would be left out. Its hard to put Oneself down to a mere 15 items. Those who know Me will understand why certain things are in there and those who dont may wonder ;-)

It took some serious thinking for me, too. I'm glad you posted this; I think it was helpful for me to do some self-inspection in a way.
One of the most striking things to me is that everything I listed for myself are things that I wouldn't mind anyone seeing; for a long time I tried to be two different people depending on the setting I found myself in, but now I'm beginning to find that I'd rather just be myself and let people learn to accept me if they wish or move on.
Thank you again for sharing "your box" with me, as well as others who stumble upon it :) it really is eye-opening.

Yes. I posted this on My Live Journal last night, where people know different things about Me than My friends here do. It took Me a very long time to decide what to put in My box and what to leave out.

This is a beautiful idea...and yours are some powerful contents. I think that if people truly dwell on what you place in your box, they just might be able to see a little more of you than meets the eye.
