I Would Rather Be Alone Than Be With the Wrong Person

This goes for friendships as well as relationships.  I spent too many years, when I was younger and more gullible, spending time with the "wrong people".  Bad experience upon bad experience means I just can't do it anymore.  I may be alone, but I am also in a much better place now (emotionally and psychologically speaking), and will do all I can to keep it this way.

    I understand. I now try to accept that the levels of relationship I build will vary; there are some people I can't help having in my life to an extent, out of necessity, and I'm learning to cope with that. There used to be a time I'd pretty-much completely shut-out anyone I couldn't relate with really well in matters of principle, but life was getting extremely difficult that way, and I don't think it was a realistic option for me.

    Thanks JMO. Not lonely just making sure to look for the "right people" now that I can enjoy life with.
