Something Is Not Better Than Nothing

In many ways, I choose to be alone. I'm not afraid I will meet a horrible person, but I am afraid I will find a person who makes me even more miserable than I am now. No, something is not better than nothing.

I can relate. I have been alone for years. I also agree that something is not always better than nothing.
I found the statement that you're afraid of finding someone who makes you even more miserable, interesting. Yes, you might meet someone who treats you horribly. On the other hand, you might find a person who makes you feel absolutely wonderful.
I guess the point is to at least be open to meeting people. Even at my age, I am still hopeful. Chances are better for you given your age. As far as someone "making" you feel miserable, that reminded me of a quote.
