Because We Don't Deserve to Be Treated Like Crap

For me, I'd rather choose to be alone, and be single instead of being with mr. right for now. I'd rather wait for the time that MR. Right-for always- comes.

I've had enough of feelin' like I was some sort of trash, and I don't think I would ever want to go back to that feeling or go through something like that again. It's over and I have learned a lot from it.

I'm sorry that any relationship leaves one of the partners feeling like trash. To go from such high expectations to feeling rejected by someone whom you believed to be sharing your most special self with is a roller coaster that doesn't level off, but keeps descending. I'm sorry to hear about your heartbreak.
If it makes a difference, I'm in the same boat. I recently said practically the same thing you did in one of my own stories. Being single doesn't require a person to jump at the first, second, or even hundredth opportunity, just to be left crying at the roadside later on. The hurt is too much.
I'm willing to take my time now and get to know someone before going too far, too fast. I compliment anyone who feels that decision is right for them, rather than bow to the perception of being unworthy if you're single.
