I Am Most Comfortable Being Me

Well, I am not exactly the sweetiest, friendlist, cutest, funniest person around. When I am with adults, I clam up usually. I don't know what to say. I find it difficult making 'friends' with adults especially those you are not really close with, so you don't know what puts them off. So, I am rather expressionless around adults and I speak very little because I don't enjoy the way they humiliate or laugh at me when I say something, which according to them sounds inaproppiate. I am not like those lick-*** monsters who goes around complimenting adults ( teachers, aunts, grandparents, friends' parents) and by smiling sweetly at them, fluttering their long eyelashes. And acting as if they're the most adorable little child in the world. While behind their backs, they are nothing like that. I hate pretentious people. Just be yourself. If people don't like you, at least you are true to yourself. What is the point if people like the 'fake' you? Adults fall for such pretentious acts...always...always...

Under all circumstances, be authentically YOU! Take nothing personal, because peoples comments and opinions, especially hurtful ones, come from a place of insecurity, fears, and inner pain in them.Their target may be you,yet has nothing to do with you. Live, walk and talk your truth, and always and in all ways, give the best of who you are to others. Best! Sidney
