May I ask how you determine a good profit margin. I just started my own Internet business and I sold $130 worth of product and am getting only a $27 check for the sale. To me that is unacceptable, what do you think?

I have been running various businesses for the past ten years. Times can be good and times can be brutal. The economics of your area can change and you can find everything coming down on you. I would encourage you to make sure you are getting paid. If you cannot pay yourself change your business so that you can. If I could change anything about my business past I would have paid myself first from day 1.

Very few businesses are seeing growth in the present economic condition we are in. Owning a business is sometimes a lot harder than being someone working at a job. As a business owner, there were many weeks that I did not receive an income, but my employees always got paid. With another year and a half of Obama, and his anti business administration, it is not going to get better that is for sure. Serious inflation is rearing its ugly head now and that is the same as a huge tax placed on everybody so people are not looking to spend anything they don't have to.
