Many won't understand

Those who do

Know what in the dungeon

Prison in our minds

Deep with in the recesses

Is the treasure box

Only not precious

Nor even shiny

But dark and sometimes dirty

Lacking luster of life

Or the vibrant energy of laughs

Deep deep deep inside is

The dungeon of sadness

Sometimes call the blues

Maybe depression

The overwhelming anxiety that hits

Our whole being

We hold on but

Wanting to disappeared

Knowing we have to go there

It is a balance

Life is not all flowers

But it has its thorns

These are the places

I have to go

The dungeon

Pulling up the sadness of past times

Reliving the pain of previous mistakes

Alternatively, the disappointments that life gives

Some would say they don't understand

Why anyone would want to go there

But I know as al the others like me

Sometimes we have to go

There is no choice or

We could be dragged there

Not having any control

And not being able to return on our own

The dungeon is the basement of our being

It where we put those things

We no longer want

but somehow can't discard

Tonight 8i am going to the dungeon

Digging up those memories

Reliving the sadness

Wondering about the what if

It is not without purpose though

I will come up from the deep recesses

With something in hand

A poem

Group of words

Words I need to express

Words that I have top get out

A poem for my baby

A poem to release the anxiety

A poem for someone to relate

Then after all the words are out

I won't feel the pull to

Go there no more

At least not for a while

I will be renew

Ready to see the sun shine again

And able to feel the hope

But for tonight

I will go to the dungeon

If for no other reason

Then to stop

The dragging of myself there

I will go willingly

Maybe this time

When I return

I will be able to stay

On top of the sea

Of living that much longer

Many won't understand

Those who do

Know what in the dungeon

Prison in our minds

Deep with in the recesses

Is the treasure box
