Black Diamond In The Rough

A dainty, damaged chain
Loose and fragile clasp
Partially polished gem
Set in tarnished white gold

My jaded little treasure
Repeatedly lost to me
But I never fail to find you
Secure you safely around my neck

Faded, dusty velvet cord
Worn out, frayed knot
Unusual, mishappen facets
Bent and broken setting

Depth unknown, unseen
Luster for my eyes alone
Seen through the grime of life
Black diamond in the rough
luckypickle luckypickle

:D You put it nicely FFW.

Treasures have their worth in hearts and not in their apparent states.

Thank you LadyBell. *hugs*

Funny how life can take it's toll on everything. And how beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder.<br />
