Poem #1/31

Wind is gashing
Leaves are thrashing
I am tumbling to-wards you
Your name turns
around in my head
The thoughts you thought,
the words you said.

I've faught, I've trudged
down covered roads
Mud and rain and ice and snow
The only thing I do not know
Why can I not let you go?
Lipstick stains your button downs
one kiss for every night slept sound

The great-divide
The comprimise
I've gone through hell
to get to you
Our love may not be beautiful,
but neither am I and neither are you.
