I Write Poetry
I am like the moon
That reflects the light of the sun.
I try to light up the world,
But Earth still stays so dark.
I am the lesser light
That cannot reach
In between the darkness of tree's
And can be hidden so easily
Close the blinds. Unlike the sun,
you won't see me, or a ray of light.
The sun can warm your chilled skin.
No one basks in moonlight on a frosty night.
You can come to me,
but I can't come to you.
I can't tell you to see me
But you can only if you choose to.
I try to be warm.
I try to be bright.
I try to comfort you.
I strive to be light.
But, with all the sun's power,
It's light reflects so dimly,
That all I can really bring you
Is hope for another morning.
That reflects the light of the sun.
I try to light up the world,
But Earth still stays so dark.
I am the lesser light
That cannot reach
In between the darkness of tree's
And can be hidden so easily
Close the blinds. Unlike the sun,
you won't see me, or a ray of light.
The sun can warm your chilled skin.
No one basks in moonlight on a frosty night.
You can come to me,
but I can't come to you.
I can't tell you to see me
But you can only if you choose to.
I try to be warm.
I try to be bright.
I try to comfort you.
I strive to be light.
But, with all the sun's power,
It's light reflects so dimly,
That all I can really bring you
Is hope for another morning.
