I Write Poetry
Where have all the lovers gone,
Have all their aching hearts gone cold,
Perhaps, did they just lose their way.
Or have they forgotten the words to say?
Would you sing me a song,
Would you tell me you love me,
And you can lie if you want to,
You can lie if you want to.
Are they oh so very long ago,
Over the oceans and far away,
Or did they lie, cheat and steal,
And manage to sour the deal
Would you sing me a song,
Would you tell me you love me,
And you can lie if you want to,
You can lie if you want to.
Did they hide behind lonely masks,
Did they become invisible and secret,
Are they afraid to take a chance,
Did they already pack up, leave the dance
Would you sing me a song,
And tell me you love me,
And dont lie if you want me,
And love me if you want to.
