She Runs By...

The day is bright and the wind is strong
Whoosh, whoosh, is the only sound
She doesn’t mind the brightness or the cold
So she runs by, in the forest alone

She runs by,
a white path of snow at her feet
Looking up to the sky
As the birds sing a sweet, melodious sound
She runs by singing along
Playing a game no one else knows

Night falls and everything is dark
The birds are quiet
Everything is calm
She runs by, a little scared now
Trying to find the light
That will lead her home,
To safety and warmth,
She runs by

Late at night, the forest is dark
No sound but the distant wolves,
Howling at the moon.

Shivering in the cold, winter night
She runs by.

I realise this is probably not very good, but I got the idea out of a book that I read (it had to do with romance and wolves so I have no idea how I got to all this running haha) Anyways, I hope you like it and if you have any opinions or suggestions about how I can improve please let me know (: thanks for reading

I like the imagery of the lone runner on the move day and night. Clarify her objective for running. Is she running towards something, a person or place? Is she running from something or somewhere? Or is her run motivated out of something intrinsic and emotional, as in finding who she is?
