In the playground you sat on the swing
you flew and passed over't'were time
a single flower adorned your hair
In only fleeting blue of sky at mid summer twilight
did your smile adorn the crashing blue waves
alas, if only moon my dearest friend had not blessed me with eyes of truth
your fading image would not be revealed
your breath not stolen by the clenching water.
         a mere bubble
            rises to kiss the moon
         revel in water
drown not in pools of black sky
embrace life greet death with a smile as would old friends
but hold my hand while you do, return to us, not her, not me
and banish the moon as we dance in its fading light
