We saw Aboriginies on
AUSTRALIA DAY
First fleet 1788 on
AUSTRALIA DAY
11 ships on
AUSTRALIA DAY
We stole their land on
AUSTRALIA DAY
We started to destoy their land on
AUSTRALIA DAY
We brought deceases on
AUSTRALIA DAY
We brought ferral species on
AUSTRALIA DAY
We murdered Aboriginies on
AUSTRALIA DAY
We enslaved Aboriginies on
AUSTRALIA DAY
We tried to breed them out on
AUSTRALIA DAY
We took their children on
AUSTRALIA DAY
Our dirty little secret on
AUSTRALIA DAY
The stolen generation on
AUSTRALIA DAY
2012 we still control them on
AUSTRALIA DAY
We became proud on
AUSTRALIA DAY
OR
INVASION DAY

    i saw a movie not long ago, about your part of the world...it was called "tracker" (not the australian film, but new guinea i think) about a boer after the war comes to your part of the world to find absolution...well not to ruin the film for anyone he finds it. But watching it i could see what a beautiful place it is, and iv know several aussies personaly and you are a great people. Make peace with the aborigines and find a way to heal whats happened. your a wonderfull country with a long history of overcoming the adverse. best of luck...

    Yes Colin,bloody oath. We always have,and continue to disrespect and destroy the culture of our native people in so many ways. To all of our detriment. Like you I am a very proud Australian,I love this country fiercely. But it breaks my heart what has been done and continues to be done to our native people.

      WOW!!rustyfrog a very powerful comment our views are very common it's so nice someone like me love their country at the same time points out our faults I think as a country we can be so judgementle about other countries when we should be looking in our own backyard.

      Yes! We don't have to go far to find human rights violations... Can I ask your opinion on something. I want to go back to study soon,I was working in Community Services before I had my kids. I want to update my quals,but very interested in doing Aboriginal studies. I didn't have the gall to when I was younger- I have no blackfella blood in me at all-I'm not a bleeding heart,I really want to make a difference to black/white relations. It's just that in the industry they prefer people who 'identify as aboriginal'. What do you reckon? Can a whitefella even hope to have the empathy needed to work with,and advocate for aboriginal people-given they have suffered so much at the hands of white culture?
      Sorry for the essay length comment. If you have any thoughts on this though I would be interested :)

      Rustyfrog you certainly can work in the industry,yes you can go into aboriginal studies alot of people do think it's about colour though it's far from the truth useally it's to do with the indavidual & attitude,Rustyfrog you dream high & grab those dreams with both your hands & never let go,Im white ive spent alot of time with aboriginals when i was traveling outback n.s.w & qld every where i stayed was always with the aboriginals they always accepted me.Rustyfrog you have a beautifull evening look up at the stars to catch that shooting star that carrying your dream

      Wow thanks Colin- I really appreciate your supportive comments-and you know what,bugger it,you are right. Follow my dream wholeheartedly and let the rest sort itself out.
