Hearts pounding
Tongue tied and breathless
This cruel feeling has captured me
Love is blind
Love is grand
But most of all evil and fair too all
For its left me holding back
Cold and desperate
Falling from grace
Swift and painful shall it end
Today I'll be open and kind to you
But tomorrow is no promise
I might close up my heart
Refuse to talk to you
Cry out for you
But still reserve my emotion from you
Maybe even keep the pattern up for a week
Or give in the next day
I'll give you no promise
Just like love gives us none
