See the man, upon his throne;
See the king, all alone.
Upon his hand a golden ring,
Beside his throne a maiden sings;
And yet this man, this king, upon his throne;
This man, he sits, all alone.

Loneliness as this poem shows is not about being surrounded with people but is a state of mind. you can be lonely living in a community of 2 million people . Its about emotions, feelings and belonging

yay nice to see a guy competing with the girls magic

This is great! Fantastic piece in it's simple yet classic style.

Thank you, I like writing small 6-18 liners.

I have a few that I think are worthy of any master.
If you'd like I could send you a copy of one or two.

yes please. When I was 11yrs old I wrote a small verse on equality.
Don't look down on the gravedigger, for one day he may look down on you

Could you send them to me too? : )

Or

And yet he stands, all alone
This man, this king, upon his throne.

yes, I actually like that better, I think.
